Ich habe soeben die aktuelle Version der #Openfietsmap vom 07. März in #BaseCamp und auf meinem #Garmin Oregon 650 installiert 🗺️ 🚲 😀 Auch wenn ich in Zukunft nach Möglichkeit alle Tools und Programme auf nur einem (1!) Device - meinem #Google #Pixel 7 Pro - nutzen möchte, genügt es mir doch völlig, ein Gerät auf Tour mitzunehmen und vorher dessen Ladezustand zu kontrollieren – so ist die Aktualisierung des Oregon 650 sicherlich nicht verkehrt. 😄 Zudem bin ich, nachdem mir das letzte #QMapShack - Update alle (!) meine gespeicherten Touren gelöscht hat, wieder zu BaseCamp gewechselt. Wednesday easy run with Coxhoe on the run, around the villages, up the hills with some pleasant chat along the way. This evening I've replaced Hen Ogledd with Meic Stevens who despite my love of Gorkys Zygotic Mynci I had managed to completely miss. The welsh Bob Dylan apparently, which I get but to be honest he seems to have been so much more. #running #runnersofmastodon #garmin #beatyesterday

@asci@indieweb.social I picked up the #Amazfit Active Max a couple of months ago, to replace a #Garmin that was giving up the ghost. For the $, I'd do it again in a heart beat.

Short run this morning as I was off to Scarborough to visit a machine tool supplier. Always a heartening experience seeing something useful being made. Designed, manufactured and supplied in the north of England. Back home to find Hen Ogledd's new CD, a totally magical album. I'm not sure which has helped with my recent low mood possibly both, the weather, bird song in the mornings or maybe just time. #running #runnersofmastodon #garmin #beatyesterday

Sunday easy run with Coxhoe on the run. Bright sunny start to the day and warm enough. I ran to the village hall the back through Bowburn together to pick up Strawberry lane, through some muddy fields then back to Coxhoe and the lamplight for coffee. No scone this morning as I was running back giving a total distance of around 21km. #running #runnersofmastodon #garmin #beatyesterday

Unfortunately we had a last minute cancellation of the head this morning due to rising water levels. A nightmare decision but it's a hard call, a decent flow can trap inexperienced rowers against the pier at Elvet bridge and getting a four or four plus cox out of a boat there is something that is hard without the flow. We swapped out for our regular training session stepping the distance up. Next race Derwentwater head. #rowing #rowersofmastodon #garmin #beatyesterday

No otters this morning but a beautiful dry, still day for a final rehearsal for tomorrow. Warmup then heads piece back to the club, cool down and paddle in. Saturday back #sculling on the Wear. Strong flow and rising levels but we got out, warm up, exercises back up and down then a steady head piece then a half trip to cool down. We were the only boat risking Elvet which was just clear enough to get through with blades tucked in going downstream. The stream was really challenging, making steering and even feeling the rhythm hard with the blades on one side of the boat almost snatched from our hands while the other side needed work. Next week should be Durham head although looking at the forecast I'm not sure it will be happening. At the moment we can get two boats into the water at a time. Running an event with 70-100 boats just wouldn't work. #rowing #rowersofmastodon #garmin #beatyesterday

Appearantly the battery in my #garmin bike computer doesn't like temperatures around -10°C it reported 25% left and then it suddenly died on my comute to work this morning. #BikeTooter #cycling #commutebybike

I tried to sell my last generation #garmin watches, but then realized they weren't keeping charges very well. The guy I gave them to for free sent me this lovely note and $50. I'm forwarding the $ to ALS research in memory of Rainer Grimm, who was an avid runner and coach. Consider contributing to ALS research if you can.
