Intorno alle 15 una squadra della Scientifica è arrivata a Palazzo per effettuare accertamenti nella stanza dell’esponente del gruppo misto, leader del movimento ControCorrente. A far scattare l’allarme sono stati due mozziconi di sigaretta elettronica trovati sulla scrivania del deputato, poggiati sopra una spilla raffigurante Giovanni Falcone e Paolo Borsellino, simbolo che La Vardera indossa spesso durante manifestazioni pubbliche. A notare il dettaglio è stato un collaboratore del parlamentare. “Un particolare che ci ha insospettito – ha spiegato lo stesso deputato – soprattutto perché nessuno di noi fuma”. Sul posto sono intervenuti anche gli agenti della Digos, con l’obiettivo di ricostruire chi sia entrato nell’ufficio. L’area che ospita il gruppo misto, al piano terra del Palazzo, è frequentata quotidianamente da numerose persone. Tuttavia, secondo quanto emerso, la porta della stanza sarebbe stata chiusa a chiave e non presenterebbe segni di effrazione. Gli investigatori sono rimasti fino a tarda sera per eseguire rilievi alla ricerca di impronte e tracce genetiche. Two e-cigarette cigarette butts found on the deputy’s desk, placed on top of a pin depicting Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino – symbols that La Vardera often wears during public demonstrations – triggered the alarm. A parliamentary assistant noticed the detail. “A particular detail that made us suspicious – the deputy explained – especially since none of us smoke.” Agents from the Digos (General Operational Bureau) also intervened at the scene, with the aim of reconstructing who entered the office. The area housing the mixed group on the ground floor of the Palazzo is frequented daily by numerous people.
