A £2 cap on single adult and child bus fares has been introduced in #Shetland from today (30 January) as part of a 12-month #Scottish Government pilot. The Regional Bus Fare Cap Pilot aims to make bus travel more affordable, attractive and easier to plan. The scheme is being rolled out in phases across the ZetTrans and HiTrans areas, beginning in Shetland, with further expansion across the Highlands and Islands to follow. #Transport Secretary Fiona Hyslop said the pilot delivers a key Budget commitment and supports fairer, more accessible public transport.
