It's fairly simple. I have a pre-written .zshrc that I copy over that avoids going through the configuration utility at first use.
I avoid #OhMyZSH, which over the years seems to be the actual source of most people's woes. It does not seem to do anything that I actually want that stock #zsh does not do.
