Well that’s what’s I meant. An option rather than an always on type thing (going to edit the post so I’m more clear about it). But you do make a good point. Tech is cool and it’s good to be informed, especially with the changes going on these days. Being informed is important.

It’s a really cool feature that I think needs to become the standard for other VPNs that are actually serious about what they are doing. Also whenever I hear shadowsocks I always think of a pair of vantablack socks on my feet.

Been playing games and using Discord on Bazzite and haven’t had an issue with anything. I haven’t even needed to do any tweaks to proton yet for a game to run fine.

Unfortunately, the FBI can ask the Swiss govt to get that info from Proton and Proton has to give info the Swiss govt requests based on their laws, hence why it was payment info. It’s talked about in their privacy policy.

In the US they had to option to spend $97B on the crisis of homelessness (which would cover housing and wrap around services for a significant portion of those affected for at least 5 years) but instead decided to fund ICE to terrorize it’s own communities of immigrants and citizens alike.

Plus it’s 2026. No more of this “teehee I’m a technologically illiterate cutie pie and I don’t want to make an oopsy on my computer settings.” People need to figure out how to use these already user friendly parental controls and stop putting the onus on everybody else and the govt to raise their kids.
