No, don’t do that. Some browsers check if your timezone is in check and if not then they refuse to load HTTPS webpages.

Not the browsets fault, but the cettificates for transport encryption don’t match with a wrong system time. And privacy gained through this is likely nonexistent. Rather, check Librewolf’s policies.json. Useragent trimming, for a example.

No, a lot of previously good tools got entirely unusable (like, buttons/tabs not working) outside Gnome with the move to gtk4. Granted, most of them Gnome tools. While not-Gnome tools work, but look entirely out of place by not folllowing any user settings.

Not a joke. And why the downvote? Quality distibution is generally SSD > SD-cards > thumbdrives. Thumbdrives are no backup medium.

I said “don’t expect your data to last longer than few hours”. Because that’s how yields work, defective areas get firmware-disabled in the factory. Lower quality has only more of them, with less strict quality requirements to count as ok.

I like to think that if streaming didn’t take over, the industry would have shifted to selling USB sticks with the media/game. Even if they did something goofy to “lock” it, at least being on a thumb
