The idea that the climate change our species created is eventually going to wipe us out is actually kind of comforting. Earth will bounce back in a few million years and there will be almost zero evidence we were here at all. It’s genuinely a nice thought.

I’m referring to the “tough love” approach that emotionally distant fathers employ. Saying “deal with it” implies that I am the problem and the world is fine, which if coming from a father to their kid can absolutely destroy their self esteem.

This sort of argument makes me feel like I’m surrounded by crazy people. It really feels like absolutely everyone understands, even if they won’t admit it, that shit posts cannot be political. They can’t have any sort of agenda other than being dumb as fuck. They are a silly source of amusement, and an agenda destroys the concept of a shitpost entirely.
