Automated customer support that forces you to upload a photo of your order when you contact them about missing food has got to be among the most asinine and infuriating things that the first world has ever created.

"We require this in order to assist you" but why?? Wtf is the photo gonna show you? Worst case scenario if I wanted to lie to you I'd just not include the stuff I was trying to claim I didn't receive, right??

Rant over.

Something that I think a lot of people tend to forget — even practitioners — is that cybersecurity is not just about infosec or secure technology, or protecting corporate data from hackers. It's also about keeping kids safe online, protecting your privacy from the apps you use every day, and making sure digital spaces don't become hunting grounds.

You wouldn't say a city is "safe" just because the buildings have good locks. You'd also talk about who's walking around the neighborhood, what the schools are like, whether kids can walk home safely. Cybersecurity is the same idea applied to digital spaces — it's not just about locking the front door, but rather the whole environment people live and operate in.
