After sleeping on it, you’re probably right. However for context a human is roughly 200lbs of muscle and can sprint 20mph. We lack effective claws but we can strategize and use tools.
What kind of prep do you think a human would need to take on a single komodo? I feel like a spear would be OP but even with a smallish blade and very light body armor I think you’d stand a good chance.
If there are multiple lizards or it surprises you is going to matter a lot. As well as the area you’re in, can you escape? This isn’t a gorilla or even a bear that can just run you down. It’s a roughly human sized lizard, which is definitely not something I want to fight but is also something that humans trap and kill.
If we’re allowed to use simple weapons/tools or escape I’m confident a human can win. However if we’re unarmed, or trapped in a place with it, we’re fucked.

A human with a pointy stick is a force to be reckoned with. Maybe if you didn’t see it coming?
It’d definitely hurt you, especially if it bit you, the resulting infection would be deadly. But I feel like that’s the only way a single komodo could kill you. Multiple ones or with the element of surprise would have a much higher chance of course.

They're worth billions, they get to make their own rules now.
They certainly didn't have a childhood to speak of, and were likely exploited in a dozen ways, but they and their children and their childrens children will never work or want for anything in their lives.

Moxie might not be right on every issue and might even be a part-time fed but his bona fides are impeccable
Dude is an OG from WAY back, used to frequent EFnet in the 90s and was already “elite” then.

“Aboytion” would’ve worked here as well.

Collared shirts aren't even as bad a jeans for me. I can unbutton a little and be just fine, the jeans are pretty thick and have seams though. They can get uncomfortable quick.

Same, came over during the first API fuckery wave and haven’t gone back at all. I might not have much but I have principles, fuck em.
