On April 9, 1976, Phil Ochs, one of our greatest singer/songwriters died by suicide. I was privileged to have seen him perform numerous times at The Thirdside, a Greenwich Village coffee house. I last saw him was in a concert in Chapel Hill, NC, ca. 1972. His opening performer was Dion DiMucci.
