When asked what the harms of "AI" are it is evident to point at its military uses, specifically as a tool to rational mass killing, even genozid. While this is most horrendous there is very subtle long-term harm I feel most relevant as well: It's homogenising effect on political, cultural and social thinking. Synthetic text and media shape our perspective of the world built on data from the past, optimised to appeal to a white, patriarchal view of the world.
