@zkat After many discussions and observing people talking about it... I came to the conclusion that it makes sense to treat it as a nascent religion (same applies to capitalism, except for the "nascent" adjective, but that's another story).

Facts & reasoning alone might not be enough to combat the rhetoric of those pushing for LLMs & gen AI for everything.

Sadly, we might need another creed to ensure effective pushback. Idk, I think I'd be OK with people honouring "Mother Nature" or something alike.
