@xyla Yeah, and a few years ago, I discovered a variant of this : "I'll fix/improve myself for her." It's... probably slightly less toxic to the other person, but it's very unhealthy to the relationship, and can have very pernicious effects on yourself. It's still wanting a relationship to exist between folks who don't actually exist, and while it may actually help you get out of a bad place, it does not lead to a healthy one.
