@nickofnz The South Australian grid is almost an isolated one. The transmission link to Victoria is very constrained. Such a small geographic area (albeit one with great solar and wind resources) going 100% renewable is proof it can work everywhere. Energy intensive industries are starting to move there for the cheap, reliable power.
