I've spent 15 years in web performance and UX analytics. Then AI hit.

Back then, devs butchered web primitives by hand. A few overpaid experts —skilled from years of trial and error— could still patch things up with audits and advice.

Now? Devs use tools that clone bad code at scale, pile on frameworks they don’t grasp, and build labyrinths of abstraction. The same overpaid experts now chase framework bugs –not UX fixes.

Skills? Stagnant. The web? Getting worse.

But hey, I’m fine.
