@JohnOCFII @Aut Yes, sorry to hear that. When you are ready to think about it, consider sending in your application to Cirrus. I'm not directly connected to software development groups, but my sense is the software needs are never going to get fewer and cirrus does a variety of aviation related things. We have a customer facing app called Cirrus IQ and there are various software tools and things being developed for training programs. And I'm sure there are other forward looking software dev efforts going on from time to time to one degree or another. Coming from foreflight might perk up a few ears ... I'm projecting ... I don't know. I'm not in the hiring loop for anything, but if there was a nice day to come up for a visit I could give you a little tour of our production area, take you out to sample some of the fine local cuisine near the airport, and depending on your interests and experience maybe drop your resume on a desk somewhere interesting. I can't offer this same deal to the next 100 people, but happy to help out a little bit where/if I can. Probably you won't find the super interesting job that's exactly what you want posted ... but getting your resume in the system means it's there if a group starts sniffing around to see what kind of people they might be able to find out there with specific skills. I don't know though ... there's what I think cirrus should do, and then there is what cirrus actually does, and sometimes there is quite a gap, lol ... but I have never run a profitable business so what do I know.
