It only works with M1 and M2.
I have an M4.
I already have enough machines for the foreseable future.
I use macOS as linux.

Let me elaborate on (4).

I don’t think I use any macOS app other than Finder (because I am forced to as far as I know).

I use Firefox, Thunderbird, emacs, gnu tools in the terminal via homebrew, gnu bash rather than the default macOS / Unix shell, etc.

So my Mac feels like using Linux, really, because a Linux user doesn’t see the kernel, only the gnu tools.

But if Linux were available in the M4, I would go for it. At the moment, this is completely unavailable.
