While I couldn't sleep last night, I came across Pure Blog, "a simple PHP based blogging platform". It's databaseless with easy install (unzip, upload, install on your site by way of a browser). I'm liking it. Might be a bit of a challenge to customize the look and make it mine but I'm up for the challenge.
