At the EESAB in Lorient, one of the rooms is called “esperluète”. A student told me once that it was named this way because the architect, allegedly hostile to the Breton language, chose an untranslatable term to name this multipurpose room. (All the other rooms were translated into peurunvan: infographie/infografiez), but that might just be a rumor… However, I’ve occasionally seen “esperluedenn”… For the font, I’m trying to develop an ampersand with a slightly oversized head.
