@chrisnelder I don't quite see what this has to do with me knowing mathematics, but ok.
0. Note that there is little difference in terms of global warming level between these pathways up until ~2030, if I remember correctly from my actuarial thesis.
1. I am not talking about the situation, but about the direction: policies on carbon reductions are being rolled out in some countries, goals are most of the time not met, etc.
2. The situation is not very bright either, that being said: recent years have been quite hot, and I saw several climate scientists wonder if we are in a short term anomaly or if we underestimated global warming.
