Even I could refute most of the physical evidence presented in the episode of #DeathInParadise that I've just watched.
It's well within the GPS margin of error, there's no evidence that the paper came from the place claimed, and there's no proof that the bin was not already like that for some other reason. All of this would need to be nailed down and established for this to hold up in court.
A couple of fairly obvious places to look for physical evidence (given the theory of the crime) were completely ignored, too.
The whole solving-the-crime thing was very rushed and clearly secondary to the soap opera elements of the show, in that episode.
