Just out of curiosity: does Garmin have any competitors in devices appropriate for outdoor travels?
Even if we don't consider "heavy" hardware like plane and boat navigation solutions there's nothing to consider. From time to time I stumble upon some "The Garmin killer and the best navigation solution!" and every time it's a more or less functional mobile app (often OSM-based).
I mean my eTrex 32x still works perfectly (with the same OSM dump) but I wonder why no one tries to create something usable for hiking or some kind of bicycle travel. Is the market too small? 🤔
