Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, speaking at a meeting of Afghanistan and Central Asian countries in Kabul, stated that the meeting is a successful example of mutual trust and joint cooperation at the regional level. Mr. Muttaqi emphasized that the main objective of the meeting is to discuss political, economic, transit, cultural, security, and regional changes, and to jointly find solutions to the problems in these areas. He stressed that cooperation with the Central Asian countries will be further expanded. The Foreign Minister assured the meeting participants that security concerns in Afghanistan have been completely eliminated and that numerous investment opportunities have been created. He also provided information about a number of development projects in the country, and spoke about the TAPI, CASA-1000, and Lapis Lazuli corridor projects, stating that work on these projects is progressing rapidly within the country.
