Whenever possible, yes. Unless I don't have cash with me, then I may sacrifice.
For online purchases I need to give my address anyway and name so I can pick the package so there's no way around it.
Whenever possible I always use a random fake name if really required to fill a name form.

No, I don't want random companies to have my legal name, I reserve the right to be anonymous both online and offline

App repo: F-droid
YouTube: Pipepipe (newpipe fork with sponsorblock)
YouTube Music: RiPlay (vimusic/rimusic fork that currently works, but be ready to change forks every few months)
DSP: rootless James DSP (not sure if this one works with grapheneOS, works with stock android, but try it, you need adb to give it special permissions)
Video player: mpv
Manga: kotatsu ? ( tbh I haven't used to in years so idk if it still works, either way, just search on f-droid
PDF and epub reader: Librera
Email: Fairemail
Lemmy: Voyager
Browser: Firefox or it's forks (fernec, mutt) and ublock origin
System-wide adblocking and/or global or per app wireguard client: Rethink DNS

Unfortunately VMs aren’t a solution for my use case since I need no latency realtime audio or GPU acceleration

The main problem is when the app stops sending or receiving messages until I restart it under Settings > Restart. It's easy to spot when it's not sending because I see a clock icon on the sent messages instead of the checkmarks. Easy solution is to restart it. The main issue is when the app needs to be restarted on the other side, when that happens I need to contact my correspondent via some other app to tell them to restart simplex.
I've had this issue for years.
Seems to work ok on the computer tho.

Too bad that simplex is buggy and doesn't work, or else I would rant how proton requires a phone number to signup and the server side of the app is centralised and proprietary.
Unfortunately as things are now, signal is the only e2ee app (that supports voice calls) that works.

Tor is not as secure as people think, all you have to do is to be able to analyse traffic on both entry and exit nodes, (or just your ISP and the server). Some companies can do this as they provide services to ISPs and have access to realtime traffic analysis from all over the world.
If a private company can do that, so can any government that can coerce or bribe those companies.
There was an article I read some years ago about a guy who was getting ddosed on his tor hidden service and he contacted someone who manages those companies and they found his hidden service’s IP in seconds.

That's nice, but how much will those phones cost? Will GrapheneOS be an option on the low end devices or will they only support "some" devices, which happen cost as much as a Pixel anyway?

That I agree, you’re absolutely right, but I still can’t stop being glad that the tyrant is finally dead. Unfortunately like you said things ate only going to get worse to the Iranian people.

Both can be true, I can not support the war or trump, but that doesn’t stop me from celebrating the death of a terrible dictator.
