Devotional Polytheist. Hedge Witch. Queer. Fiber Artist. House Husband. Posts about Paganism and rural life in the Great Lakes region. (He/Him) Header is the cover for my blog titled 'Great Lakes Pagan: Life and Craft in the Northern Forest'. The words are imposed over a landscape photo of a lakeshore with pine-covered sandstone cliffs cut out in curving patterns due to erosion. Profile photo is me: a thin, clean-shaven brunet white guy with glasses wearing his signature grey knit hat.

A project to apply comparative mythology to Celtic-Christian Hagiography to undo the layers of "Interpretatio Christiana" that rendered the Celtic gods into Saints. Focusing mostly on the Irish saints and Gods, but with wider relevance to how we understand Celtic, Norse, Mediterranian, Ossetian, Iranian, and Indian traditions.

Bealtaine (/ #Beltane) is nearly upon us! And I have a busy month of issues on the God-Saints ahead.
I have reason to argue that this will be the festival of the Mórrígan - I’ll go into it on the May 5th issue.
- Out 30th May will be the Divine Twins, Cellach & Muiredach of Killala - archetypically matching Aengus mac Óg & Cúchulainn.
- On 5th May, an issue on Cróbh Dearg & Inghean Bhuidhe, further aspects of the Munster Mórrígan
- May 15th, Brendan the Navigator - Midir the Proud, the Irish Soma/Dionysus - half-twin of Brighid and foster-father to Aengus.
- May 21st, Conall - another epithet of Fionn, the Irish Óðinn/Apollo - and the Fionn of the Ulster Cycle.
