Ero a Dubai perché avevo deciso di concedermi un periodo di vacanza e potevo scegliere di partire in maniera istituzionale e poi ricollegarmi alla mia famiglia o partire con loro. Sarei potuto partire subito, ma sono rimasto nel bunker con gli altri italiani. "C'erano i miei figli, io ho fatto questa valutazione, gli Emirati non erano coinvolti, ma erano tra i pochi Paesi" dell'area a essere contrari all'attacco. Forse dovevo abbandonare là i miei figli e tornare in Italia, ma sono rimasto. Questa è la parte privata che mi dispiace dover rendere pubblica".
