Secondo quanto riferito dallo Shomrim, organizzazione di sicurezza della comunità ebraica, i volontari sono intervenuti immediatamente riuscendo a fermare e trattenere il sospetto fino all'arrivo della polizia. Gli agenti - riporta la Bbc - hanno quindi utilizzato un taser per immobilizzare l'uomo che è stato arrestato. Secondo quanto riferito dallo Shomrim, organizzazione di sicurezza della comunità ebraica, "un uomo è stato visto correre lungo Golders Green Road armato di coltello e tentare di accoltellare alcuni passanti di religione ebraica". Lo stesso individuo sarebbe poi stato "immediatamente fermato" dal servizio di sicurezza e successivamente "la polizia è intervenuta usando un taser". Il sospettato sarebbe in questo momento in custodia. Le vittime hanno ricevuto cure mediche da parte dell'organizzazione di soccorso Hatzola. L'area era già stata teatro di tensioni nelle scorse settimane, quando ambulanze della stessa Hatzola erano state incendiate nelle vicinanze del luogo dell'aggressione odierna.
