I'm really struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts atm, which I know on some level is me processing past trauma and healing, but right now it sucks and money worries are the last thing we need. Cause Dion is also really struggling with his health.

We're two trans, disabled, neurodivergent abuse survivors, recovering from eating disorders and chronic (in @DionRa@kind.social 's case lifelong!) malnutrition, trying to get on our own feet but relying on mutual aid until we get there.

Y'all have already helped us through and out of horrible situations, please let's continue this effort until we are thriving and in turn able to pay it forward! We're so close!

We're both already working, albeit still with very limited resources.
A great way to support us would be to hire me as a coach! I'm still working on my proper web presence, so until then the process is very informal, just drop me a dm or email (the bellis-storm one).
I have always done a lot of free work for my communities and I am continuing to do so, but I need paying clients to be able to continue and expand this labour of love.
I am working with a client who can't pay themselves, have since January. I love my work and I'd love to be there even better (less stressed about money, with work materials) for them and future clients!

How can someone message another person in Signal if your number is secret, they are not on your contact list, and you have virtually no contacts? Someone I know just got a random "hello" in Signal from a stranger without zero prior contact. #help #signal #fedihelp

#linuxmint has been successfully installed. When shutting down the computer, it stops after the 'powerOff' command and does not switch off or disconnect from the mains. These people helped save a pig from the side of Hwy. 417 after it jumped out of a truck Dillon Lee and Lara Jamieson helped rescue a pig that had escaped from a pickup truck as it travelled last Saturday on the 417 at Carling. I’ve been a linux server admin for almost 20 years but I’ve never been able to fully switch from Windows for my daily driver. With all the Windows 11 bullshit I want desperately to switch but I feel like I can’t win with a desktop distro. I’ve had nothing but issues related to hardware/drivers with each distro I’ve tried. Fedora KDE Plasma Desktop 43 has given me the most luck but it’s left me with one glaring issue which has me writing this post from Windows - how the fuck do I configure the OS to wake the monitors properly after going to sleep? If my monitors go black either from display sleep, OS sleep, or OS hibernation, the system can wake just fine but the displays show no detected input. I’ve tried both the open and proprietary nvidia drivers with no luck. I’ve also configured s2idle as the only sleep configuration and while it sometimes allows the monitors to wake without issue, it doesn’t always work. Am I just missing something? Is there a different distro I should try? I’ve now been through Manjaro, Fedora, Ubuntu, Pop_os, Arch, and Kali with nothing fully working for my hardware. Really feeling like I should just give up and give it another few years and try again - any advise otherwise? I’d really really like to abandon microslop. MSI MS-7E16 (X670E Gaming Plus Wifi) AMD Ryzen 9 9950X Nvidia RTX 4080 Super 64 GB DDR5 Latest Bios and firmware for everything; all software/os features up-to-date
