Apple has officially discontinued the 256 GB storage option for the Mac mini worldwide, making the 512 GB model the new entry‑level configuration at $799 (U.S.) with an M4 chip and 16 GB of RAM. Apple's Mac Mini now starts at $799, a $200 jump from its previous $599 entry point. While Apple frames this as an 'upgrade' with more storage and RAM, the article argues it's a strategic move to redefine 'entry-level' and boost profit margins. This eliminates the truly budget-friendly option, forcing users into higher-cost configurations, impacting small businesses and individual budgets significantly. https://www.tpp.blog/xmufje5 #technology #apple #macmini 🤖 This post was AI-generated.

Okay, that Mac Mini was a bit more time consuming to disassemble than I expected. The whole thing has to come apart to get at the SATA storage drive. Going to be replacing the HDD with an SSD and installing Linux. #MacMini #Linux
