Someone tried to advertise AI #Minecraft mod generating website on #MinecraftWiki which made me aware there is now an entire business model built around using Gen AI to create Minecraft mods.
Yeah, lets advertise a tool for non-coders to generate programs from plain text prompt to be executed in their non-sandboxed (sic) Minecraft game. What could go wrong! This is besides how unethical this is.

Temporary Accounts have been implemented on the #MinecraftWiki!
When you edit without creating an account, your IP address will no longer be shown, and instead you'll be given a temporary account with a random name using some Minecraft-related words, like "NetheriteSpiderCrab"!
This temporary account expires after 90 days and you'll get a new temp account if you edit again after that.
Only a few trusted users can view the IP addresses of temporary accounts where necessary to combat abuse.
