Good morning everyone 🌞 I'm up early with the parrots today and have just put Ziggy in for breakfast after a brief cuddle session. Her latest thing in the morning now when I clean her cage is to sit on the perch nearest the door and go "Mmm Hmmm" as though inspecting my work. She'll do this a few times, then climb up to her high perch to play with toys while I do the other cages. I'm not sure if that means she's satisfied or not 😂 I'm watching Jadie muttering and hopping back and forth in place. She has moved her sleeping felt toy forward a bit and now can't seem to navigate to her flat perch to reach her fruit. Any other parrot would just work out a new path, or move the offending toy, but not Jadie. That's why we have to be careful that her rope boing that leads down to the lower levels where the food and water are is in the right position or Jadie would just sit and starve if she couldn't use it to navigate. The first few weeks we had her I had to hand feed her until I could work out the optimum pathway for her to reach her food and water 🤷🏻‍♀️ Toy has now been moved and Jadie is munching a cherry happily 🙂 The dentist reckons there's no infection around the loose tooth so he'll take it out for me in a couple of weeks. I will be glad to get rid of it I must admit. It will be the fourth tooth I have lost due to grinding my teeth. 🥴 Plans for today are to do some gaming. Good morning everyone ☀️ I am up early with the parrots today and am on duty all day as it is Grant's big half a century birthday today. He's planning to spend it playing the new Resident Evil game, which he downloaded last night. Ziggy is currently grumbling away in my hand. She's in a very playful mood at present, and was play fighting with me last night. She screeches like a mad bird and sounds like she's freaking out when she does so, like she's genuinely attacking me, and she does bite hard, though not to break the skin. But she rolls on her back, showing complete trust in me not to drop her as we tussle, with me going 'Argh!" and pretending to attack her back. Then, in the middle of all this noise and chaos she will suddenly go "Ceek-a-boo!"and start "Tee hee hee" ing and we both end up laughing away 😊 Plans for today are to look after Grant and take care of everything so he can just enjoy his birthday and game to his hearts content. He got Steam vouchers from me again, so will be able to buy another couple of games if he wants to later, but for today he's like a kid at Christmas about his new horror game 😊 Have a lovely day, whatever you get up to 🤗 #GoodMorning #Parrots #Ziggy #Gaming

Good morning everyone 🌻 I am up early with the parrots again today. I was supposed to have a long lie, but I need to keep an eye on Ziggy as we had another occurrence of liquid coming out of her nares again yesterday after she had eaten breakfast. I sat with her and did three steam treatments, which luckily helped clear up her breathing. Phoned the vet and asked if I could up the dosage of her diaretic to the original dose, which she agreed we could do, with a review and more bloods in a couple of weeks. I hope that's going to be enough to keep her stable for now. She's in good spirits despite all of this though and is her usual cheeky self, which I am very grateful for. She's currently curled up under my chin, giving me neck shingles and nipping me if I dare try and squirm 😊 As long as she is a bossy boots I am happy. I didn't end up doing much yesterday other than looking after Zigs, but at least I am on leave and didn't have to try and juggle her needs and work. To be honest though, work would have lost out in that fight 🙂 Today I am going with Grant to a job interview. He's very nervous about it and wants me to be his navigator so he doesn't panic trying to get there. I'll just sit in the car with my Switch and wait for him. Good morning Fine Fedi Folk 💕 I am up early with the parrots again today and was greeted by a loud and cheerful "Good Moo!" from Ziggy as I entered the room, so my day has been made already 😊 Jadie meanwhile was keen to tell me about a dream or something and was babbling away quite the thing as I cleaned their cages. She has this phrase that sounds like "Babushka!" and she always says it in a very plaintive manner. So she'll babble away and then say "Babushka!" as though to say , "but what can you do eh?" 😊 No real plans for today so I'll see where the day takes me after a coffee or two. I may game or crochet. I may even get up the energy to clean out the sideboard now that I have some packing material. I think the first two are stronger contenders for my time though! I also need to update my website again at some point soon. I usually save up a bunch of photos and do it all in a day, so I might leave that one until the weekend. I must take my email address back off there too. I put it up in case people wanted to contact me for custom toys, but all I get is spam from people (and more increasingly bots) who want to help me redesign my site or get it higher in the rankings, like I'm some web entrepreneur 😂 Have a very lovely day, whatever you get up to 🤗 #GoodMorning #Parrots

Good morning you lovely lot 💕 It is Monday yet again, but I am on leave this week, so happy days 🎉 I've just put Ziggy in for breakfast after the briefest of cuddles and a quick one minute medication session. I have the amount of feast food needed to give her the meds down to a tiny blob now and she takes it like a pro 😊 I was going to move the new java tree that has been sitting in the hallway for two weeks - outside the living room door so they see every day - in to the living room today, but we are going to Grant's Mum's as it is her birthday, so that will need to wait until tomorrow. I am hoping we don't have too much panic, but we'll see. Parrots really, really don't like new things just thrust upon them. So, plans are to play a wee bit of Stardew Valley on my Switch for an hour or two and then go out. I must admit I started from scratch yet again 😂 I am still keeping my later game farm as I still have loads to do, but I really fancied trying a beach farm as I know it's trickier with the sprinklers not working on sandy soil. Good morning my Fine Fedi Friends 💕 I'm up late today after a nice long lie in which I had, as usual, bonkers dreams. This time for some reason the company HR department had decided to direct people to my bedroom as a new waiting room, while I was still in bed mind you! Two of my colleagues ran into the room to tell me they had found a dead bird, so I grabbed Ziggy, who also happened to be there and went to have a look. There were feathers scattered around like you see when a bird has been killed by a hawk or a cat, but also creepy serial killer notes all over the place 🤷🏻‍♀️ Detective Ziggy and I were on the case when I woke up 😂 At the moment she is chatting away to me, while chewing on what looks like a bit of apricot. I've never seen a parrot eat with so much relish as our Zigs 😊 I had a good time playing some single campaign BG3 yesterday again. Celeste and her crew took on the lava monster, the Guardian of the Forge and a bunch of Githyanki at the mountain pass. That last one was tough as it was a sorcerer, Gale, Astarion and Karlach up against a bunch of warriors, but we made it without anyone dying 😊 Plans for today are to do some more cupboard cleaning. I have a sideboard in the dining room which hasn't been tidied in about ten years and it's groaning with stuff we no longer use that could go to charity. Good morning everyone ☀️ I wasn't able to post yesterday as work was so crazy. My first call was at 7 am and I had to prep for it before hand, then the day was just back to back calls till the evening. All while I was trying to finish three documents that needed to be done before I went on leave. I didn't even have time to shower or eat and managed one coffee all day 😱 And all because of a client who won't make a decision, then when they do, either makes a bad one or changes their mind at the last minute. Anyway, that's over and I'm now on leave for two weeks. *Happy little dance* 😁 The parrots and I have been celebrating this morning by singing nursery rhymes. The girls particularly like "Baa baa black sheep" and "Twinkle twinkle little star" and have been "too too too" ing along quite the thing. I think Toby enjoyed it too as he kept going "Ooh!" 😊 Plans for today are not a lot as I am a pooped soupy after yesterday. I might game for a bit and see how it goes. I'm not taking crochet orders this leave break, but I have loads of my own wips waiting patiently for me to finish them, so I plan to work on them a bit too. I have two cardigans in progress and given that my current store bought cardigan is full of Ziggy holes, I could do with a replacement 😂 Have a lovely day, whatever you get up to 🤗 #GoodMorning #Parrots #Crochet

Good morning everyone 🌻 Very happy to be up with the parrots and not having to worry about work 😊 I feel like I have run a marathon after this week, but luckily now it's time just to relax and have a wee cuddle with Ziggy. She's tucked into my hand at the moment, grumbling away, with the air filters and Toby munching in the background. Jadie did come forward earlier, but then Ziggy jumped on top of her cage and tried to bite her, so the poor girl has retreated back into the shadows and is hiding behind her felt snuggle. Ziggy had never accepted Jadie. She tolerates her at a distance, but will instantly attack her if she comes too close. Jadie has learned to avoid Ziggy at all costs. Jadie is larger than Zigs and could probably easily take her in a fight, but like all of the flock, even Toby, defers to the little diva who rules the roost 😁 Plans for today are some Parrot Kitchen and then crochet. I am almost finished the second toy order so I should be able to post it tomorrow. I'm going to keep my listing down for a while after that though, in an attempt to finally find time to clear out some cupboards and such like that desperately need doing. Good morning everyone 🌞 I'm up early with the parrots again today and having a wee hand cuddle with Ziggy before I do my first dive into the IOD for the week. She's tucked right into my hand, head down, wee left foot up at her cheek, grumbling away with contentment as I stroke her head. These early morning moments are truly the best 😊 I had a rare burst of energy yesterday, so I ended up finally assembling a new craft trolley I ordered weeks ago and sorting the stuff out that was rapidly taking over my corner of the dining room where I sit and crochet (I sit there instead of the warm living room, because parrots - Ziggy screeches at me if I crochet and Toby just screams at me for reasons unknown 🥴). We don't use the dining room as such anymore anyway; it's been years since we had more people round than we can feed at the breakfast bar in the kitchen. It's mostly Grant's gaming and my crochet space now. I really should just sell the table and set up the room properly as a casual space. Another on a very long list of things to do 😊 Ziggy is currently "digging" down the side of the couch again so I'd better distract her and get her meds sorted so she can go in for breakfast and I can get to work. Good morning Fellow Travellers around the Sun 🌞 I have finally had a longer lie today and am feeling all the better for it 😊 Grant has gone back to bed, having had a successful session with Ziggy who took her medication like a wee trooper. I've just been drinking coffee and playing a little Stardew Valley on the Switch, but I'm going to have to move now, not least of all because Toby is screaming at me and my ears are bleeding 😂 We didn't end up gaming yesterday as planned. My laptop wouldn't boot up and it took me ages to finally get it working. No idea what the issue was. I may need to take it in to tech support if it does it again. It's still under support until June anyway. Grant ended up playing one of his many zombie/horror games instead and I ended up fight with GOG Galaxy and trying to repair my Pathfinder download. I eventually ended up having to uninstall it and the game I had started the day before. It was not meant to be a gaming day for me, that's for sure 😊 Crochet today. Good morning you lovely lot 💕 I'm up early with the parrots again today and really feeling the lack of a long lie so far this week. I'm so sleepy that even Ziggy nipping the soft skin under my arm isn't doing much to wake me up. Yes, she's up my sleeve again, like any good trick 😊. So with Toby munching, Jadie grumbling at the back of her cage and the air filters creating white noise, I am really struggling to stay awake today. It's comforting, this drowsiness, a sleepy normality without any drama. I've learned to appreciate moments like these, little islands of calm that they are. Gaming was good yesterday and very much needed. I started a game of Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, played a little DAO and even found time for an hour of BG3. The day just flew by and I mentally felt all the better for it. Gaming therapy for sure 😊 And today is co-op BG3 day! Good morning Fellow Travellers on the Galactic Spiral Arm 🌌 I'm up early with the parrots yet again today. It was supposed to be a long lie day for me, but I wanted to get up to make sure Ziggy was okay and would take her medication. Yesterday evening we had a parrot freak out when some unknown thing spooked Ziggy, causing her to make an alarm cry which then spooked the other two and mad panic flying ensued around the room. This is okay as they don't tend to fly into things, but with Ziggy being exercise intolerant with her heart problem, I was worried about her afterwards as she was breathing heavily and sounding snotty again. I'm glad to say that she is absolutely fine this morning though. We've had a laughing session between her and Jadie first thing, played "Where's Ziggy?" and had her up my sleeve nipping me for ouches, so all good 😊 I was planning crochet today, but I may game instead as I feel I need to get out of my own head for a bit. I recently bought a SanDisk Extreme 2 TB USB drive as my internal laptop drive was pretty full. It's a super fast USB 4 one that I've enabled write caching on so should be more than fast enough for the sort of games I play. I spent an afternoon last week installing stuff and am keen to give some of them a go. Good morning you lovely lot 💕 I'm up early with the parrots today after a really hectic work week. Apologies for not being around to respond to you all. I can almost relax now though. I say almost, because we are off to the V-E-T again early this morning, this time with Jadie, who needs another beak trim as it's giving her bother when she's trying to eat her pellets. At the moment I'm sitting with Ziggy having a lovely wee cuddle though, and just being able to drowsily sit here for a little while is really nice 😊 Once we get home I will be crocheting. I'm working on one toy order already and another came in last night. I've finished Stranger Things now, so I'll have to find something else to watch.
