Wow! #R4Today on #Italy's historic (first time ever) victory over #England in the #SixNations rugby tournament. A commentator described the event through a reference to the aphorism "Life is a road full of flattened squirrels who were incapable of making timely decisions."

Good Morning, all, woke to news on #BBCWorldService radio that for the first time China's global warming emissions have reduced year-on-year. Admittedly, the decline is only 0.3% but, given structural changes to PRC's economy, hopefully the world has turned the corner. I sought a link but blow me if I could find the story on #BBCnews. It was #1 on World Service but 5' into bulletin on domestic #R4Today Tho I could've learned more about Sarah Ferguson asking Epstein for bankruptcy 'advice'.

Responding out loud to contentious items on the radio is a constant hazard for the politically engaged. I am no exception. Listening to Sajid Javid, the former Home Secretary for the #Nastiz, I heard him plugging his book on #R4Today As he talked about his father's reaction to him being banged up for petty theft in Bristol's Bridewell Police Station, I blurted out, "I know it well!" "... I used to pick up their post, when I worked for Royal Mail," I sheepishly added. #Tories #GoodRiddance

The 'five minutes to nine' slot on #R4Today is devoted to a discussion on writers and whether they should announce to fans their retirement... One pundit answered in the affirmative, to avoid the sort of question like "Whatever happened to Jeffrey Archer?" "Whatever happened to Jeffrey Arsehole, it couldn't have happened soon enough," I told my radio.

Morning, all, what the fuck? #TACO Trump sounded like a madman as he backed down at #Davos2026, claiming he would not invade fellow #NATO member Denmark to control Greenland. Not that you can believe

Interestingly, #BBCWorldService led at 7am with a snippet from #TACO Trump's actual speech at #Davos2026, in which Donald Tantrump truly sounds deranged, yet at 8am #R4Today, #BBC Radio's premier morning news programme, did _not_ play the same clip. Is #BBCNews trying to shield its domestic audience from the Madness of King Donald it's prepared to share with its world audience. #Trump #Krasnov #TyrantTrump #EmperorTrump Oh! Clip has now played. After the News bulletin. At 08:13 !

Morning, all, #BBCWorldService has some Russian ambassador* tied up in logical inconsistencies over #Trump's threat to invade Greenland (part of Denmark). He claimed Putin doesn't have a position, or

8am update: Trump changes his 'mind' on the UK's plan to hand the Chagos Islands over to Mauritius (er, not to the Chagos Islanders?). Only yesterday I was wondering if the U.S. airbase at Diego Garci

How quaint, Justin Webb, presenting #BBC #Radio4's Today Programme, still thinks President Donald Tantrump can be reined in by Republican losses at the mid-term elections in November this year. Why does he think #TyrantTrump will allow the mid-terms to take place if there is a risk that he will lose them? #R4Today #NoKings #GOP #MAGA #Trump #Krasnov #USpol #UScoup https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/live/bbc_radio_fourfm

Good Morning, all, #BBC Radio Four's Today Programme is comparing the national taxation of service industries such as pubs and hairdressers with punishment beatings. Which reminds me that my local pub has long displayed above the bar a sign that reads: "The Punishment Beatings Will Continue Until Morale Improves." #TeeHee #R4Today #Bath #Larkhall
