Ora la Procura di Forlì indaga su un 27enne operatore della Croce Rossa, residente nel Forlivese, con l’accusa di omicidio plurimo, secondo il Corriere di Romagna. Le morti sospette sarebbero avvenute durante la tratta in ambulanza con il 27enne in servizio, ma l’operatore si dichiara estraneo alle accuse. Non è ancora stato sentito da carabinieri e magistrato, ma avrebbe fornito elementi e documenti. Secondo i legali del giovane indagato, per ogni paziente è intervenuto un medico, a bordo del mezzo di soccorso, ovvero l’auto medicalizzata di Romagna Soccorso. Le indagini, che sono condotte dai carabinieri del Nucleo operativo di Forlì e vedono impegnati anche i Nas, sono tuttora in corso. “È sconcertato da quanto sta emergendo – ha detto al quotidiano locale l’avvocata Gloria Parigi, che difende il 27enne -, urla la sua innocenza in ogni modo, in una vicenda che gli ha stravolto l’esistenza. Si è messo a disposizione dell’autorità giudiziaria perché non ha nulla da nascondere. Per questo ha chiesto di essere ascoltato dalla Procura”. L’uomo attualmente non è in servizio, per via di un monte ore di permessi accumulati.
