Iran’s signature on the synagogue attacks: who is behind the Ashab Al Yamim group It is called ‘Ashab Al Yamim’, which translates as ‘Companions of the Right’ or ‘People of the Right’, the group that this week has claimed responsibility for three attacks against Jewish institutions in Europe. The Jerusalem Post writes about it exclusively, recalling the first attack on a synagogue in Liege, Belgium, on Monday. Followed by an attack in Greece on Wednesday and an arson attack on a synagogue in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on Friday. The reference to ‘right’ in the name does not have a political meaning, but rather one of “righteous” or “correct” as explained by Ohad Merlin, researcher at the Mind Israel regional program, to the Jerusalem Post. The Quran, he clarified, often uses ‘right’ and ‘left’ as metaphors. The group, of which no knowledge was previously known before this week, does not have its own Telegram channel and is not present on social media. However, the videos of the attacks carried out by Ashab Al Yamim quickly appeared on Telegram channels of the Shia axis, such as those associated with Hezbollah or the Pasdaran, suggesting a connection with organizations affiliated with Iran. The group’s logo depicts an arm raised upwards wielding a rifle pointed to the right, with the image of a world map behind it. This logo has the same characteristics as the logos of Iranian terrorist groups or groups led by Iran. Kataib Hezbollah in Iraq, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and the Revolutionary Guards in Iran all use the same image of a hand wielding a rifle pointed to the right, superimposed on a world map. #AshabAlYamim#Jewish #Europe #TheJerusalemPost #first #Liege #Belgium #Greece #Rotterdam #Netherlands #OhadMerlin #theJerusalemPost #AshabAlYamim #Hezbollah #Pasdaran #Iranian #KataibHezbollah #Lebanon https://www.iltempo.it/esteri/2026/03/13/news/attacchi-sinagoghe-ashab-al-yamim-iran-nuovo-gruppo-islamista-46798239/

Internal war in Lebanon: Hezbollah orders militants to attack the national army as well. Hezbollah has instructed its militants to confront the Lebanese army if it attempts to intervene in the group’s activities against Israel. This was stated by a source to the Jerusalem Post, adding that “the instruction is very clear: if the Lebanese army attempts to dismantle a position or prevent the launch of rockets, it must be confronted.” The directive comes as the Lebanese government has recently begun taking measures against Iranians and members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the country. Among other measures, Lebanon has announced that Iranian citizens will only be able to enter the country with a visa, has defined the IRGC as an illegal organization, and has expelled high-ranking Iranian officials from the country. The decision by Lebanon follows Israel’s request to take action against regime members operating on Lebanese soil. Meanwhile, an airstrike hit the south Beirut suburbs, Lebanese state media reported, after Israel had warned that it would target branches of a company linked to Hezbollah. Images broadcast live by AFPTV showed large columns of smoke rising from the zone, a stronghold of the Iranian-backed armed group. This morning, the Israeli army had warned that it would strike the branches of Al-Qard al-Hasan, a financial company linked to Hezbollah that operates primarily in the group’s strongholds. #Lebanon #Hezbollah #Lebanese #Israel #theJerusalemPost #Iranians #Iranian #Beirut #AFPTV #Israeli #Al-Qardal-Hasan https://www.iltempo.it/esteri/2026/03/09/news/hezbollah-esercito-libano-scontro-irgc-espulsione-israele-raid-beirut-crisi-guerra-46721893/
