An 18-year-old who allegedly killed eight people in a mass shooting in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, reportedly used OpenAI’s ChatGPT in ways that alarmed the company’s staff. They debated calling police but ultimately chose not to, according to a Wall Street Journal exclusive. ChatGPT transcripts weren’t the only concerning part of the shooter’s digital footprint.
