#Krebs führt seltener zum Tod als noch vor 20 Jahren. Im Jahr 2024 kamen auf 100 000 Einwohnerinnen und Einwohner 273,5 Krebstote. 2004 waren es noch 322,4 Menschen. Der Rückgang betrifft nahezu alle Altersgruppen. Dennoch bleibt Krebs auch 2024 die zweithäufigste Todesursache mit einem Anteil von 22,9 % an allen Todesfällen.
