@4X6GP@mastodon.radio
mastodon 4.5.9

I like linux, radio (ham and broadcasting), and all kinds of science and technology.
Linux: using Hyprland / Arch on my "daily driver" computer. I also maintain a Nextcloud server (Debian) and fool around with Raspberry Pi's.
Ham radio: 100% CW (I hold CWops member no. 5).
I'm a retired software developer, factory worker, broadcast engineer, tractor mechanic, and other things.

@amoroso Just a tty. We had terminals with a built-in 300-baud acoustic coupler. I would just dial the computer and stick the phone into the coupler. I don't recall any video terminals on the PDP10; we had a few connected to an IBM model 50 that ran a locally written timesharing system.

@amoroso I enjoyed using TECO on the PDP10 at the U. of Pittsburgh in the late 1960s. As a young person, I had no trouble remembering the commands. Not something I could do today!
