Also, most of my Latvian students have Windows laptops: without @fontra they effectively wouldn't have been able to participate. A free font editor which works on Windows is what I call a tool of empowering.
(Yes, I'm biased, but I’m also genuinely in awe with Fontra)

This week I wrapped up my short course on variable fonts for the Art Academy of Latvia students. My objective was very modest: just make some letters that move! But now I'm quite moved myself, seeing the result of their earnest, even if somewhat derivative, work.
Apropos, 7 out 11 projects were made with @fontra@typo.social. And you know what? Having tried working with variable fonts in Fontra, I have no desire to get back to other font editors.
