2/3/2026 – February 2026 Check-In

Morning/Noon/Night, whatever. It's been a while, so, I suppose that I should check in as to how I'm doing. For once, it's actually pretty well, at least in my estimation. I went to the doctor recently, and he's actually pretty happy with me right now. I'm down another four pounds from my last appointment, I'm staying on my meds, and all of my number look good.

1/22/2026 – Open Book

I can feel an old, long-dormant part of me trying to break through for the first time in a long time. So, I'm reading the first Dune book on my e-reader, mostly before I go to sleep, and I'm finding that I have to force myself to stop reading, or else I'll be up all night, nose firmly lodged into what I'm reading.

Do you ever feel like your mind is in constant motion, unable to just stop and focus for even a single moment? 12/9/2025 – Light A Spark

I'm starting to work myself out of the funk I've been in for...a while now. The world outside, losing my dog, work stress, sick family, it's all done a number on my mental state this year, and made me kind of "go numb" for a while. It's killed a lot of my motivation and creativity, and had me going day-to-day just existing.

I had this "woe is me" diatribe all sketched up yesterday, and I'm pretty sure that one's getting spiked into the pavement, but in it, I had written about trying to be less "scared" of everything. Today was the season opener for my beloved Ohio State Buckeyes, a home matchup with Preseason Number 1 in the country, Texas. A rematch from the semifinals in last year's Playoff, the marquee game of the opening weekend, yadda, yadda, yadda. I didn't watch it. Not because I don't care about my Buckeyes, but, because I knew that I could not handle the stress of it.
