This "character select" ability sounds a bit like what I was trying to do with my alternative format. Too bad it wasn't meant to be. One could always house-rule it in if you wanted to play something similar, however. Don't let your dreams be dreams!

This pleases me greatly. I got the mints as a gift a year ago and kept the tin. The flowers are little erasers-like things I kept from some party long ago. I've been using them as Magic tokens and keeping them in a plastic baggie. Now the happy little flowers have a happy little home that fits nicely in my fancy deck box! #MagicTheGathering #BobRoss
