I really hate how WW2 history focusses almost exclusively on America and completely ignores other countries. For example, Italy also had african soldiers (Hitler was vocally opposed to arming them) who also had a reputation for rape and low effectiveness. In addition over half the troops fighting for the "Free French Army" were african. I haven't been able to dig up details about their conduct but I suspect they weren't orderly.
