Great news from @Mastodon@mastodon.social at #FOSDEM: they're going to change the default server recommendation away from mastodon.social, to a geographically and linguistically appropriate instance for all new users.
It'll be opt-in for server admins, too, which is great. ❤️

Having complained about Matrix the other day, I'm very pleased to have (a) discovered @cinnyapp@fosstodon.org, which is a vast improvement over Element on macOS, and (b) reset my WhatsApp bridge. Between those two, I think I've solved *most* of the problems.
