The most sensitive people on the internet are, without a doubt, the celeb gossipers. I have never come across any celeb gossip community that was not a dystopian echo chamber filled with the most brainless and miserable creatures.

The thing about the Epstein files that a lot of people don't realize is that the fact it's a scandal means that there's an opportunity to get justice at some point if in the future even if the system is broken. In a lot of places around the world, this shit is legalized and nobody cares. For example, in my home country of Iraq all of this is legal and a lot of powerful religious clerics do the same shit as these criminals, and nobody bats an eye. We live in a depraved world that's governed by the wicked.

Marxists are just as bad as fascists, and .ml troglodytes are genuinely dumb enough to think they're superior to people who are fundamentally against authoritarianism of any kind.

The article doesn’t contradict what I said. The Soviet Union intentionally refused to count their homeless population because the state pretended that it didn’t exist. The real numbers showed up only after the communist regime fell because the ex Soviet states started counting. Academic studies have shown that the Soviet Union in the 1980s not only had homelessness, but they had it at a rate that was higherthan what the US had at that time.

Reality is propaganda to you. Commie blocks were infamous inside the USSR and outside of it that they were poorly designed, built, and maintained. There’s a reason why all the ex Soviet states ran campaigns to replace them.

The homeless were always there, the Soviet Union intentionally didn’t count them. The ex Soviet states did genuine counts which revealed the actual rates

The Soviet Union had higher rates of homeless than the US both back in the 80s and today. Not to mention that commie blocks were notoriously poorly built and maintained. Soviet architecture just isn’t good.
After the fall of the Soviet Union, every single ex soviet state in Europe (outside of Russia and Belarus) went on a spree to “decommunize” their architecture because it’s so soulless and terrible, and they’re better off for it.
It’s annoying when this shitty propaganda post gets spammed on here every other day with the same misinformation and misconceptions being spread every damn time.

Does anybody else remember the good old days before the pandemic when anti-vaxers where a left wing phenomenon? It was mostly popular among the all natural hippies who were convinced that crystals and meditation could cure diseases and that all modern medicine was a scam by the all powerful and all elusive “big pharma”… It’s sad that anti-vaxers who went from clowns that everybody made fun to being a serious problem because a big chunk of society decided to go brain dead and old diseases are making a comeback.

I think those types are beyond hope. They're so zealous and ignorant that I honestly think that they basically worship Trump. I'm talking more about the quieter types. Back during the 2000s, Bush actually had a pretty big base of supporters, and they were especially vocal after 9/11, but after the 2008 recession and the war on terror, a lot of his supporters went silent. Sure, there we're still a few that supported him afterwards, but a lot of his supporters chose to pretend that they never supported Bush in the first place. I feel like something similar is happening here.

Honestly Fox doesn't hold as much weight as it used to. Ever since Tucker Carlson left, they've been kind of irrelevant. This is doubly true when you consider that a lot of their viewers moved to Newsmax and OANN after they have multiple public feuds with Trump. They're still a propaganda outlet for his admin, but not to the same extent as it used to. I think Facebook is way more influential nowadays. The sheer amount of propaganda, bots, and misinformation on there is so ridiculous it should be illegal.

I feel like Trump and MAGA have lost A LOT of steam since 2016. People like to pretend that his support has been consistent, but so far his second term he seems to be a lot more universally hated. I feel like a pretty big shift among the right happened when he came out and not only blatantly lied about the Epstein files, but disowned his own supporters. I feel like his core base is now fractured and unenthusiastic about him. He doesn't wield as much influence as he once did. We'll see if that's really the case in the midterms.

Controversial opinion The point of college is NOT to prepare students to be “work ready” if that makes sense. The point of college is to give you the critical thinking skills necessary to be able to learn, grow, and make decisions on your own as an adult professional. Whatever technical knowledge carries over to your job is just a bonus.

Okay, but it’s rarely hated for that. The hate fests always revolve around this weird assumption that this car is driven exclusively by incels and MAGA types, but that’s simply not true. Like sure its ugly and a bad product, but it’s not exactly unique in that aspect there’s a lot of other cars like that.

I never understood this weird hate boner that Reddit and Lemmy users have for cybertrucks specifically. It can’t be a moral position because they’re fine with regular Teslas, just not this one. It also can’t be about the ugly design because they’re fine with other ugly cars.
The thing is that I’ve seen a few of these out in the wild, and they’re almost always driven either by Indian tech bros or white finance bros. I’ve never seen any right wing types drive these like so many people here seem to think. In fact, the right wing types have this weird vendetta against all electric cars and they intentionally go for the gas guzzling pickup trucks. Which this hate boner even more baffling. It’s like people are mad for the sake of it.

I see this meme getting reposted here every week, and it’s the same nonsense every time. The fact that the people in the Soviet Union had both depressing architecture and homelessness renders the point in the meme both false and meaningless.
