oh man this is one of the worst car accidents I ever saw. He was going to friends just 3 miles away. Why would even drive that. I mean its a bit much to walk but any decent bike would get your there. Man if he had a bike he would be healthy and fine now hanging with his friend. Why oh why don’t people bike.

Im not sure who I started with but initially there was no rechargeables and then like the first rechargeable I got had to be replaced because we could not get heads. I gave up at that point. I just don’t trust them to keep the things going. A few years is not enough for me its gotta last minimum a decade and preferably a few.

carbiners and keyrings. they are hella useful although while you don’t need to get climbing grade you don’t want the cheapest level of consumer crap. The spot bot is great if its still the same setup. basically it just automatically rotates a scrubbrush with soapy water and sucks it back up. It basically cleans a spot like you got on your hands and knees with a bucket and scrubbrush to clean it. Very small area but thoroughly cleaned. crappy unbrella hats. its nice to keep the rain off while being able to use both hands. folding kitchen step stool. the larger kind with two levels, a magna cart, thumb drives, steamdeck, man likely lots of other things.

I disagree on the toothbrush. The problem is all the e waste. Everything else being equal I would love it and my wife won’t give it up but basically the manufacturers change and you can’t get heads that will work and you end up having to buy a new brush every few years which is almost worse with rechargeables.

still bg3. oh man I made it a point to do everything I could before going to the shadowfell and then also went back and did auntie ethel too who I kept around for giant str potions. Its kinda great putting her off as the whole thing is kinda annoying with the multiple phases but oh boy I did not realize how much more there was to act 2 and actually you get sucked into the start of this act3 stuff where its like it just keeps going. between auntie ethel, shadowfell, the tower, the colony, the camp attack, on and on. Oh also I took shadow heart to the shadowfell as that was obvious but did not take wyll to the colony so lost an item. Trying to see all with eat the worm.

oh yeah but im more thinking having a family and covering all medical costs. One of my biggest problems is im single income with a sick spouse and our country simply does not effectively work for that anymore but its simply a scenario that is always going to exist so either our social safety nets need to get waaaaayyyyyyyyy better or we need to pay waaaaayyyy higher.

What we have gotten here have killed double digit folks. usually elderly or homeless. won’t take much higher to move this into triple digits I think. yeah and honestly that sounds like something from a decade ago. I find things are not in the linux ui at the level things are not in the windows ui and if anything more run into having to do registry or powershell with windows. much more often I can find an install in linux that will give me the ui if its not already.

When my wife and I were playing the cryptic mmos she played sto and neverwinter. She made it a point to make characters that crossed the genres. So a bunch of her sto characters were in some sort of transporter accident that sent them to never winter. gorn became dragonborn, vulcans/romulans became elves, she had plans for her catpeople but we stopped playing before neverwinter brought one over if they ever did.

Every time you open LinkedIn in a Chrome-based browser, LinkedIn’s JavaScript executes a silent scan of your installed browser extensions. The scan probes for thousands of specific extensions by ID, collects the results, encrypts them, and transmits them to LinkedIn’s servers. The entire process happens in the background. There is no consent dialog, no notification, no mention of it in LinkedIn’s privacy policy.

Well thats the thing. For a tech person and compared to my peers I use pretty minimal stats. I only started feeling constrained by 8 like late teens and I was fine with 4 in the aughts. I guess my own personal ram usage level has been doubling although the aughts were insane. Having a 1 gig drive was a big deal coming into them and we had ram measured in kilobytes in a lot of our hosts. The pace of tech expansion in the first decade of the millenium is multiples of what we see after.

nope but I don’t think we should subsidize having kids with tax brakes and such. 100% public education and meals at school and we should have universal healthcare. so if children are born provide for their needs as we do for other members of society but no tax breaks or such.

I have been using unixes since 2000 and technically a bit before that as a user in school systems and linux since 2005. I am currently using zorin but have a long term trial to go towards and image type of system like bazzite. Thing is I have been doing this stuff to long and now I prefer to have stuff that just works and go rather than having to futz around. So my emphasis is on lazy linux. Its kinda funny because I sometimes talk about why I do and don't do things at the command line and I will get responses about learning it more and I kinda got to roll my eyes.

When I was young working almost any food job came with free food and over time they became more restrictive on it. In college it was the main perk of working the dorm cafeteria. Buying food is expensive but if you can afford it and enough options are close to your work, its kinda nice to get something you feel like at the moment. My go to for bringing to work was rice or pasta dishes in a glass container that had a plastic seal lid. Only works if you have a fridge though. Is there no fridge given you can’t bring stew? Or no microwave?

ok. story time. Had this friend of friend in highschool. Super stoner idiot type which was kinda funny because he hung out with our nerd group regularly (burnout/nerd crossover was surprisingly not uncommon). We are at a pizza hut with a jute box. Guy goes and puts some money in and is like. Oh man I saw this sound that sounds so cool. Hey Dude. He was very disapointed.
