Mindless fires, looting, and destruction of property doesn’t mean you’ll magically get the government to care. It gets all the local mom-and-pops to close and the grocery stores to leave, giving you mothing but a food desert. I’m so fucking tired of all the EU people on Lemmy making fun of people for at least getting out there and showing others we should care. Senless violence will not solve all of our issues. What did shooting the CEO change? Absolutely nothing. Our healthcare system still sucks, because this isn’t a violence problem, it’s a legislation issue. Should we make fun of HK protesters for being peacful? Iran got a dictator blown to bits and is still going to be in hell. I genuinely will be curious to see how all of these armchair rebels react if there’s ever a case of mass government corruption in their country in a decade or so. I don’t want for anyone to be in a situation like this, but we’ll see if you keep that same attitude up when it’s your lives on the line.

Man the custom ROM life just reinforces my idea that stock Android is a fucking nightmare. I use Graphene and it just asks, “Hey, do you want to install this app (+ without network access?” Yes? Neat, it’s on your phone now. The literal only roadblock is enabling installs from non-appstore apps like browser or files, which makes sense. No fear mongering, no developer mode, no wait a day to do it.

Two: having the enter the address in a non-standard way (for the US) City, Street, Building Number, makes finding things even harder. THAT’S why i always struggled to look up buildings on Comaps! Hell, I wondered why the sesrch was so hard! My main issue is the lack of traffic data. I’ve been using YT music anyway, but I recently started using my Navidrome server by just yt-dlp’ing albums + tag with MusicBrainz picard and boom. A bunch of songs I can own until my server burns down. Ok guys, do I drop Proton for Mullvad, or do I keep it for port forwarding? My contract is ending soon. I’m starting to pirate more as I have a homelab running Arr services now, and I use port forwarding on my Qbittorrent client with Gluetun. I dislike Proton for liking Trump, but I need port forwarding. Or try AirVPN?

If you’re looking for something to use with actual accounts (like banking), use hardened Firefox (with arkenfox) or a hardened chromium browser. Neither Mullvad Browser nor LibreWolf (and especially NOT Tor) are designed for that use case. I wonder if my one bank doesn’t like Librewolf. I logged in no issue on Ungoogled Chromium, but got a “security warning” on LW. Meanwhile Discover doesn’t give a fuck and works when it wants to on either. Paypal worked fine on LW. I do use a Banking container on LW and turn off VPN, but banks are making it harder to go no app…

Can’t you just use Ublock with advanced mode on and have the same thing as NoScript?

I use Zotero and Bitwarden with no issues on Librewolf, and I also use Bitwarden on mobile, but the app instead of the extension. I have use Bitwarden as an extension on mobile and it worked fine, but I can't remember if that was when I still used FF or a fork.

Librewolf and IronFox (android) both work like a charm! Well, in IronFox's case you might have to tweak JIT and WASM to ensure some niche extensions work, but I'm pretty sure it's a me thing. I also used Fennec (android) for a hot second, and that has extensions too.
