I can understand why a boss wouldn’t want a union, since it means less power and more money having to be shared with labor. I’d be the same where I wouldn’t want labor to unionize if I had a business, but not deluded enough to think it’s because I care about them that I’d take it as a moral failure if they unionized. Its because I would prefer to take the position of the benevolent dictator compared to suddenly having the business shift to more of a democracy or republic. So that’s the motivation to be just nice enough for labor to not have thoughts or make moves to take away my power and money. I guess its why I see through the flowery language. But, no boss would freely admit that so don’t really fault that him too much. But, do hope people see through the PR answer just so they too are aware of what’s actually going on in the minds of people they work for.

Of course any owner who stands to make millions in comparison to his employees wouldn’t want a union, and prefer them to be content with what’s given than to start demanding more pay and less hours. Can try to pretty it up as if it would mean a personal failure as a boss. But, it really comes down to hoping to play up the good boss angle who cares to avoid the nightmare scenario of having to share more of the money with labor and not wanting to lose leverage that a boss has over labor that isn’t unionized. No union is more power and more money. That’s the non PR answer without the flowery language.

Yeah, accidental voting happens to me when I’m using my phone. Kind of inevitable unless someone uses an app where voting is done through pulling left or right as opposed to tapping.

Safari has the worst adblock options of the browsers I’ve tried. So absolute bottom choice from me. Brave is brought up as an alternative to Firefox but that has the same AI and also crypto on top of it.

If brave is able to have their own adblock integrated into the browser by default despite Google being behind much of Chrome I think Firefox forks should be fine. Sucks everything seems to have AI these days shoved in, so it’s hard to escape whether it is Chrome forks or chromium alternatives.

I have one m.2 and multiple sata ssd, since on my motherboard occupying the second m.2 slot would drop the pcie lane for my GPU due to sharing bandwidth. Do newer boards not have that problem?

It is so bizzare to me why the rest of the world has been so comfortable with meta services and been using their social media for years when they’ve come across as a company to not trust with that information But, I’m probably the weird one looking like im putting tinfoil on my windows and head to the average person.

Go take a look at their comments on their profile. Lot of AI talk there. I’m guessing people aren’t pro copyright, but its their argument in conjunction with AI that has led to the downvotes.

Probably because their angle is to find opportunities to push an AI positive agenda whether copyright is involved or not.

Looking at all the new features and how none of them have appealed to me with it being different attempts at forcing copilot I think the only happy Windows users are ltsc ones. Closest experience to a dumb OS that doesn’t change and just installs and runs the programs you install and came with minimal bloatware compared to new regular Windows.

Its hard to find a non smart TV these days. Its present even in the cheapest TV at the retail outlet. How long ago did you buy a dumb panel to even be able to find one? Only dumb panels I’ve found have been PC monitors. Once you start shopping for LG, Samsung, Sony, TCL, etc everything is a smart TV. And lot of people buy TVs based on specs like HDR quality, latency, and frame output and those TVs usually come as a smart TV whether you want it or not.

Customers aren’t asking for this shit. The issue is that companies don’t seem to try to deliver products customers want anymore. Instead they hop on some bullshit trend to try to appeal to investors to buy their stocks to pump it up because they want to show they are the next big thing in innovation.
