...and the other is not. Also my left eye is my dominant eye and suddenly it's the weaker eye which is causing all sorts of spatial havoc. The brain will adjust but also hopefully it won't be too long before I get the second eye scheduled. 🤞

There's kind of multiple things going on right now. My right eye is trying to heal but also my brain is trying to adjust. I've worn glasses for myopia since 3rd grade and suddenly one eye (with a cataract) is nearsighted...

I have kept meaning to post an update but haven't been up to typing much or staring at a screen.
So, the cataract in my right eye was especially bad. The surgeon said the "Cumulative Dissipated Energy" - CDE (a measure of the ultrasound energy needed to dissipate the cataract coated lens) is usually around 3 or 4. Mine was 37... That meant a lot more disturbance of the eye even with this "viscoelastic fluid" that they injected to protect the cornea.
