Two things can be true at once:
- That doctors are way too quick to prescribe SSRIs and that some of the side effects and withdrawal can be atrocious and there should be follow ups and tapering guidelines with precise dosage for a smooth landing.
- That New Age culture on the internet has been demonizing *all* meds, to the point where people who need chemicals to survive one more year might stop taking them as a result of seeing this or that video. Harmful stuff.

You can denounce the USA's attacks on a country without praising the brutal right-wing authoritarian theocracy getting attacked. Why is half of the left falling for this every fucking time.

Shares of renewables and nuclear in the electricity mix has been growing. But progress in the order of magnitude larger pie chart of energy (including transport and industry) has been tiny.

Could be good for the planet due to consumption slowing down, but terrible for humans trying to survive under authoritarian capitalism. Coal plants are being restarted in India and Europe is looking at thorium nuclear. World-shaking moment.
