If your concern is being prepared for a violent attack on your community then you will almost certainly be just as well served to spend that money on a plate carrier with level 4 plates and a trauma kit (with training)
If your concern is being resilient to fascist intimidation then you will get better results by simply getting to know your neighbors and forming a strong mutual aid network.
If you still want to own a gun, fine, but it is not a substitute for solidarity.

I think video games have a lot of potential as a medium for art that simply, quietly proposes a better world and allows people to have the feeling of living inside it. And not for the sake of escapism. For the sake of lighting some number of roughly adjacent beacons in the distance of our collective imagination. Some direction to walk in.
