The reason I've posted this is that I've been looking at Indian and southeast Asia traditional clothing styles as a good look, especially for formalwear for Lashunta on Castrovel. IMO, Lashunta fashion needs to be more than merely bangles and a birthday suit. This kind of clothing would be a good fit, not leastly because it is intended for hot climates while still conveying a lot of elegance. Granted, this is formalwear, likely worn only indoors. In developing a culture on a wet tropical world, and drawing heavily on South Asia-Pacific historical examples, I don't foresee Lashunta being self-conscious of bare skin, so long as it's situationally appropriate.

Maidens wear a halter-like top symbolic of military service - it originated as a support garment while riding shotalashu. One of the perks of being an outrider is being issued the precious-metal version.

Water spirits could be an interesting topic in Lashunta metaphysical cosmology. Although water is esteemed as a masculine element, corresponding to rivers and rain, lakes and ponds are feminine. Since Lashunta strongly associate godhood with nature, these spiritual beings are classified more strongly with the godlike ~Noa~ as opposed to the feylike ~Yezaea~.

As such, ~Shahasae~ - the Lake Queen - may be an important figure in Lashunta mythology surrounding Lake Arasene in northwestern Asana. As the lake's personification, she once played an important symbolic role in the coronation of the ancient queens of Lea, which stands on Arasene's shore. In more contemporary times, the city and nearby denizens pray to Her for kindly weather, bountiful catches, and prosperity.

A haloed Damaya hovering over a pool with six candles? This has to mean something. Within Lashunta hagiogrphy, is she a hero-sage or a god?

Devaule of Son was one of the first monastic philosophers in the Fifth Millennium. The Monasticists were originally dissidents under Son's Empire kept under imprisonment in underlevels within the imperial palace on Mt. Eizohu, where they established their ascetic practice and used it to explore their psychic potentials. Devaule was one such prisoner-monk, noteworthy for, though she was locked in a waterlogged, lightless cave, she had mastered her powers to the point of hovering continuously over the water while keeping six witchlights glowing while she meditated.

In 4267 ZS when Old Hanat overthrew Son's empire and laid siege to the city, Queen Dezhathe desperately set the monks free, on condition they use their psychic powers to save the city. However Devaule is reputed to have stolen a cutting of Son's Soul-Tree, based on a vision she had of the city's fall, which was hidden and planted in a gulch upon Eizohu's slopes.

Devaule was recaptured, whereat she was entombed alive within her old cell. When the Hanata razed Son and cut down the Soul-Tree, they broke open Devaule's cell to make her tell the cutting's location. They found her dead body still hovering and surrounded by six witchlights. Fearing bane, they sealed her cell back up. Only when Son was refounded a century later, and the milktree sprig was brought to the site of Greenmother's new temple and planted to become the city's new Soul-Tree, did her psychic dwimmer end, and Devaule at last passed to the World-Soul's peace.

Following today's earlier pic, there's an alternate ending to the legend of Odysseus & Calypso. Ancient sources differ on the parents of Latinus, but in one they are the hero and the nymph who kept him captive for seven years. Under Greek masculinity, even though Odysseus spent his days moping for Penelope on the headland, at night in Calypso's cave he didn't exactly hold back.

Which behavior would speak volumes in lashunta culture, in which under polyamory he wouldn't necessarily be expected to hold back. As another potential complication is the practice of ~Emoldya~ - father-sharing - in which females will agree to become childshisters by getting pregnant by the same man, which is some cultures and epochs is an important element of diplomacy.

It is, however, possible for a female to inject herself into such a kinship polycule. When done against the wishes of the other participating childsisters, this can lead to significant awkwardness under lashunta law and custom, since the father will owe service to multiple mothermates.

Lady Vaeol has many childsisters, thanks to Oshis. Yet her relationship with one shows some strain after Oshis slept with Damyane, Kazos's daughter, against her wishes, which almost ended their relationship. Additionally, when Oshis was taken captive by Lady Erenyae, after they rescued him, Erymi his primary wifemate brutally beat Erenyae to provoke a miscarriage, thereby ensuring she could not claim kinship or have any hold over her manmate.
